Boux is firmly established as one of the top lakes in France, holding around 300 carp to 62lb and grass carp up to 45lb. It has a very large head of 20lb+ fish and it’s an action water too... 50 to 80 carp out per week is not at all uncommon. Take a look at the customer feedback section and you’ll see the regularity of big catches here.
Msrs. Taylor, Newton & Ritchie fished Boux in June 2006. They had 65 fish... 2 x 40's to 42.5, 23 x 30's to 39.4, 19 x 20's to 29.5, 19 x doubles & 2 singles
" Excellent fishing - everyone broke their PB's. We want to keep this venue a secret to ourselves!"
On our Articles page you'll see we have feedback going back to 2003. The fishing has always been excellent on Boux - it's one of our most consistent performers. But be warned - it books up early - so if you want to get on Boux give us a call sooner rather than later.

Boux is in the beautiful Morvan region of France and the lake is isolated with no public footpaths or public access. Supermarkets and local shops are only five minutes away and toilets and showers are available 300m away. This is across the fields, but in bad weather you may need to use the road route which takes about 2 minutes by car. The lake is offered on an exclusive basis for a maximum of five anglers. There are few crayfish, no poisson chats and drinking water is available on site.

The maximum distance you will probably need to cast is just under 100m and most fish get caught within 30m of the bank. It’s recommended that you take a boat… this will help you place your rigs and land the fish. A boat is available for you to use on-site, but a second boat helps to minimise disturbance in between swims.
Boux fish tend to respond well to single hookbaits and light baiting strategies using stringers or PVA bags with pellets. However, heavy beds of pellets also have their successful weeks. As far as boilies are concerned, quality is better than quantity.
Rig wise the snowman is a good all rounder but bottom baits will catch well in the margins. For your information a lot of the big fish get caught in less than 2m of water even if crashing fish can be seen in the deeper parts.
From £234 per person based on 5 anglers using the lake exclusively & including ferry crossing in a minibus.
