General comments: Fishing started well then slackened off in the week, but last night fishing 8 runs achieved. We did not night fish the reeds. Lee the owner was also scratching his head in the middle of the week, but helped immensely with his knowledge. Lovely guy & lovely family.

What did you find were the best tactics/baits: Fish tight against the 'Gorse Bank', Quests Special Crab Boilies over Pellet. Free running rigs.

General comments: On arrival at the lake, the fish were responding well, with five fish coming out in the fist 24 hours, but due to a change in night time temperatures, the fishing became increasingly difficult. Lee was constantly on hand to offer tips, support and advice when the fishing got tough. This was Nick's second trip to la Gléhias and he was pleased to see his old friend "Halle" again, even though she had lost weight. Coming to France is not just about catching fish – it is the whole experience, and thanks to Lee and Tracy's hard work and determination, the week was thoroughly enjoyable. The food was excellent and Tracy was happy to arrange different dishes to accommodate individual preferences. Will be back next year? Not until Nick's new baby is older! (at least six months….) Owner's Note: Nick, baby Chloe-Anne should be able to grasp a rod at about 6 weeks mate!

General comments: A great venue and accommodation whether you fish or not. Lee and Tracy have got the balance absolutely right. Lee was a great help to our three teenage boys who caught 20 fish between them and were very grateful for his help and advice. We didn’t have food but would do next time having read other reports! Adore the children! Thanks a lot!

General comments: Tracy, Lee & family are fantastic hosts. The accommodation is clean and got everything you need. The food is excellent. For a family venue, but still with good size fishing, you couldn't as for more. But it's not just for the family holiday, the really keen fisherman has met his match here, fantastic!! We went last year, this year & we will go back next year!!

Brief details of your catches: Fished 2 nights only but had 4 carp - Mirrors of 33.4, 18.4 & 17.0 plus a common of 24.12. Connected with 2 catfish but landed neither unfortunately. Day sessions on the float were good fun with loads of tench, roach and skimmers on corn, bread over groundbait.

What did you find were the best tactics/baits: Single baits close to features with just a few free offerings around each bait. Top up after each fish .Liver based boilies or tiger nuts accounted for all the takes.

Were the facilities what you expected? Better than expected. Ideal for what we were doing.

General comments: Great Overall Holiday!! Weather conditions hampered fishing, but ideal venue. Lee helps you with his knowledge of the lake and comes down to see if you're O.K. - Top man. As for Tracy – Excellent cook and very pleasant. The food was Exceptional. Out of this world. Going to take her home!

General comments: Weather was beautiful, very hot. Slow during the day, nearly all action was seen at night. Fish were not really feeding so hard work, but that's carp!! Lee and family great, although drive and survive they could not do enough to help. I think Lee was more disappointed that we didn't catch more than we did. Lovely lake, they are in there... We will be back!!

General comments: Thanks very much for a great fishing break. (Owners Note: Sudden rise in temperature at the beginning of the week was great for Steve's tan but also meant that the fish sat about doing not a lot unfortunately.)

General comments: Lee & Tracy & Kids & Chickens & Cats & Geese & Ducks were all great hosts. We had Breakfast each morning and one evening meal – Fish & Chips plus pud which was lovely, we would highly recommend it. We arrived with the water as warm as bath water but unfortunately rain and 2 cold nights dropped the water temperature putting the carp off the feed. We still had a great time & THE RED WINE'S CHEAP!!!

General comments: La Gléhias is a wonderful place to be. The Farmhouse and the grounds are kept very clean and tidy. The lake is well managed and is a super sun spot! The food was more than what we expected. What could be homemade was homemade, and it was all exceptional. Tracy is a superb cook and it was the best I have ever had! (Sorry Mum!) The Fishery House Book was very informative. Lee, Tracy and their children are lovely and very friendly. I am very saddened to have to leave back to grotty England.
