Brief details of your catches: Difficult conditions didn't see many fish caught around the lake so was more than made up with the action I had. My week was slightly marred by the loss of one of the huge Laroussi residents 'Carol'and another couple of hook pulls. This is to be expected when the fish aren't feeding that hard and wasn't helped by the extreme ranges I was casting. A lot of stretch in the line and small barbless hooks aren't an iseal combination.

What did you find were the best tactics/baits: Highly visual hook-baits at range.I caught on Quest Baits Special Crab and Fruity Trifle with small sight bobs above the bait.

What did you find were the best tactics/baits: small pva bags, any amount of bait attracted sturgeon and gave you loads of major liners all night. working hard and watching the water and plenty of marker work does help!

General comments: the lake is great and medhi is a good host, the fishing was fairly slow, and although we managed a few fish the average size was pretty small for the lake. will be back though for one of Laroussi's monsters for sure.

General comments: I was very disappointed to find a car and numerous lines in our swim on a venue which is advertised as snag free. Numerous fish were lost due to the snags. Comment from Angling Lines: The snag was completely unknown before Mr Clark found it. It has now been removed.

General comments: Steven : Mehdi, this man never stops smiling there to give you tips advice nothing is a problem. The fish in Laroussi are in top condition. Mehdi's passion for his lakes is the key this man is a carp angler that's why it is a top, top venue! Everything you will ever need for a week's fishing in France. Wayne : The fishery must be tried by any angler wanting to beat their PB. It is well run and managed by the owner, Mehdi who is at all times friendly and helpful. mehdi was a geniune care for his fishery and the anglers fishing it. The fish are in excellent condition, hard fighting and hard work with the marker rod+ accurate baiting wil pay off. Thank you Mehdi for a wonderful 2 weeks.

General comments: Great facilities, Great fish , Top venue. Mehdi is very helpful and always smiling. Mehdi says : An excellent big fish week. 18 mirror for 37lb+ average with fish up to 58lb ! A lake record koï 18lb ( the hardest fish to catch , I'm jealous) , some lovely grass carp, huge sturgeon and plenty of pb's. Wow, well done !

General comments: It was a very difficult week (30°-38°). We didnt caught many carp but I broke my PB of sturgion and my friend broke he's PB with those catfishes. The owner ... I have never seen such a nice owner, he is very helpfull and he knows what humor means :-). If you dont like the lake just go for Mehdi (owner) he is an attraction on himself :D "pief, poef, paf: tuut (<--- sound of an empty bottle)"

What did you find were the best tactics/baits: Bed of hemp+ sweet corn and also a lot of boilies.... watch water for spots where fish continualy show !

General comments: The lake is not an out + out runs water. The fishing can be hard but if you work at your fishing the results can be phenominal! I love Laroussi. Mehdi says : An excellent week with plenty of fish... fish has finished to spawn and they are hungry ! Well done even for the huge Eel and the record crucian carp !

Brief details of your catches: 35lb mirror, 3 sturgeon - biggest 66lb. Unfortunately fish spawning. All anglers suffered, tried very hard and we did well with the few we had between us. It is a reasonably difficult lake anyway with great potential.

What did you find were the best tactics/baits: Big beds of whole and chopped boilies, Quest Baits - Special Crab, Fruity Trifle, Irish Cream, Raja Spice, Tiger Nut Crunch boilies (no I don't work for Quest Baits!!) and lots of pellet, partiblend and hemp. Big halibut pellets for sturgeon. Very important to be accurate. Fish very cagey and wary. Hooks must be razor sharp - check and change constantly for any chance of hanging on to the big'uns!

General comments: The weather made a hard lake extremely difficult. Temperature hit 41c. Fish also still spawning. Lot of weed this year too made certain swims totally frustrating. However, get the baiting and tactics right and the runs will come - pulling them in is a different matter! Some very very big fish lost. Patience and experience are paramount. General comments: Too much weed in swims. Owner came round one day with a mind to rake weed from swim. Had to stop fishing for the day as chemicals were put in to kill weed. Owner cared for his fish a lot, but showed no interest in anglers. He did not come every day for a chat to see how things were going or to give advice on hotspots, bait, tactics, etc. OWNERS COMMENTS: I decided to clear the weed in front of the first swim because nobody was fishing there....... then when I arrived Mr Oliver had moved into the swim without asking me. So I told him that I needed to clear the weed because last week the angler in this swim had had some problems. He told me this was OK. So the next day I returned to clean the weed with my friend, expecting him to have changed swims (there were 2 or 3 swims free) He didn't move - just watched me all day. I never kill the weed with a chemical - I'm not crazy) He could have moved at any time - I would have helped him do so. I find it very disappointing that this angler was fine while here then chose to misrepresent the situation when they enter their feedback. Only the first 2 swims have some weed .... and they are still very fishable.
