What did you find were the best tactics/baits: Simple rig on gravel bars, hard boilies using a hemp ground bait.

Were the facilities what you expected? Yes

Were you happy with them?  Yes, showers good, fridges good, cooker not so good

Would you recommend our services to a friend? Don’t use onsite boilies, they were too soft.

General comments: In all good facilities, good lake, bailiffs friendly.

What did you find were the best tactics/baits: Boilies, tigers, hemp, pellet. Baits were boated out to markers, most fish caught in the middle and in daylight.

General comments: Fantastic week, the fish were up for it and so were we (got very spoilt).

Brief details of your catches: 42 carp landed, average size 25lb, 4 over 30lb, 2 over 40lb, 40lb 6oz mirror, 40lb 6oz grass carp – possible lake record? Sturgeon at 48.8lb. We had some very bad weather, no fish for 48 hours – what could we have caught?

What did you find were the best tactics/baits: Very few fish in close. 90% of fish at 100 yards+. Rowed out PVA bags over seed. Lots of poisson chats, bait mesh needed.

Were the facilities what you expected? Better

Were you happy with them?  Yes, very clean & tidy.

Would you recommend the venue to a friend? Yes, very good fishing.

What did you find were the best tactics/baits: Finding bars, peach & pepper.

Were the facilities what you expected? Ok

Were you happy with them?  Yes, but the toilets could be in a better place rather than in the kitchen.

General comments:  First class fishing but the kitchen could be moved

Brief details of your catches: Best catch on the week we were fishing was a nice 42lb common. Loads of upper 20's, a couple of 30's, a real nice koi at 27lb and myself a 28lb sturgeon. Good week's fishing, will be back next year, same venue.

What did you find were the best tactics/baits: Single baits or snowman rigs worked very well. Don't put loads of bait into the swims, it isn't needed (leave it there it will go).

Were the facilities what you expected?  Better

Were you happy with them?  Yes, good

Would you recommend the venue to a friend?  Yes, we are off next year

Would you recommend our services to a friend ?  Yes 100%.

General comments:  The best venue I've fished in France by far, top fishing.

Holiday Feedback Form 1st to 8th May Hello Bridget, I thought I would drop you a line about our recent fishing holiday in Margot last week. We had a truly awesome time catching fish from the first hour we arrived. I had 19 fish... best being a 48lb 6oz Common, two 50lb+ Sturgeon, with loads of upper twenties and a few thirties. My son Mathew had 35 fish... 9 thirties... a 41lb Mirror and a 61lb Sturgeon, all his other fish were at least 20lbs+ Out of 7 guys fishing, 5 of us had 40lb+ carp!!
