What did you find were the best tactics/baits: Various.

General comments: Stunning lake, fish are pristine. There is a lot of silt and a very large amount of weed, which was just dying off. One or two of the swims will be improved over the winter.

General comments: The venue was fantastic one of the better lakes i have fished in france. But the whole place could do with a good sort out! Paying attention to the kitchen and outside sinks. It seemed that Andrew was more interested in his from the Uk rather than the lake. All in all a very good venue just needs to be sorted out, attention to detail also needs a chef and had no balif on site like web site says. But a very good venue!

General comments: Andrew at Molyneux was absolutley first class. A great example to all fishery owners. Completely looked after us from the off. Genuinely wanted you to catch. Did everything possible to make it happen. Will be back next year. Weed will need checking at some point.

General comments: There was extensive weed growth. Thought it was hard fishing. The swims were exceptional. The food package was great, as was the owner, Andy!

What did you find were the best tactics/baits: Big beds of bait in open water and fishmeal boilies

Were the facilities what you expected? As expected except baitboat hire. Baitboat didnt work which made fishing difficult

Were you happy with them? Cabin fine, hot showers, friendly & helpful owner but, as stated above, baitboat was unavailable which is pretty much essential

Would you recommend the venue to a friend? Possibly, if they were experienced carp annglers, wanted night only fishing and had all there own equipment

Would you recommend our services to a friend? i may think about another try with yourselves before I would recommend. I felt the advice on the venue could've been better

General comments: When we booked we did say that we were new to carp fishing & asked if the venue would suit us. We were told that we should be fine but I don't think the venue is great choice for novice anglers to be honest. It's a night water & it's rare to catch during the day (which we were not told at time of booking) Also fishing at some distance (again, not told at booking stage). Use of a baitboat is essential and, as stated before, the hire boat was out of order. We felt we could've been advised of this in advance as it had been problematic the previous few weeks aparently. This would've given us the opportunity to arrange something elsewhere. This pretty much put us at a disadvantage to begin with. We had to row the baits out each time which is not great for your swim! The fishing is at a reasonable distance so unless you can cast a spod/pva bag a fair way, you may struggle. It has to be said though that the fish were spawning which made it difficult to get runs. The owner (Andrew) is a great bloke who tried his best to help us catch. He made us very welcome & did a regular shopping run. If you needed anything, he'd get it for you. It was a shame for him also that our week didnt go as planned. ***** OWNERS COMMENT...... It does seem to be a bit of a night water like alot of lakes in France. The two anglers did miss out on a lot of fish due to the fact that they didn't want to fish through the night (even when I lent them my alarms and reciever). A baitboat isn`t essential if you are prepared to look for the underwater features, and then bait to them. The island in front of the cabin is around 100m away but doesn`t have to be fished tight against ... single baits will pick fish up.

What did you find were the best tactics/baits: lots of bait taken out by boat at distance open water as good as islands,mix their pellets with your own,good frozen boilies, and talk to the lads they'll give u some sound advise

General comments: The fellows that own and run the pond are spot on greeted with smiles and beer which carryed on all week. The fishing was amazing couldnt get the rods out fast enough sometimes. The best weeks fishin i've ever had would reconmend for every to go.

General comments: Welcome was excellent and hospitality was great. Andrew, Judith & Chris made us feel very welcome and comfortable. This is going to be a great venue with plenty of runs. All that fished had some very good catches and spotless fish. Smiles all round.

General comments: This is one of the most picturesque lakes I have visted in France in 17 years of fishing. It has the potential to produce quality and large fish. The hospitality that we received was exceptional and I would highly recommend that if you visit this lake you take up the food package. There is a different menu each day and the food is of high quality!
