General comments: Superb setting and waters. All fish in fantastic condition.

What did you find were the best tactics/baits: Method feeder worked well (method mix mixture tiger-nut pellets, salmon fry, mixed pellets and tiger-nut carpet feed). Also small pva bags. Hook bait Quest Baits Tiger-Nut Crunch and Special Crab

General comments: Cooker needs attention. As you get off the ferry at 07:00 and you can not get on to the lake until 16:00 and it is only 150 miles away it would be a good idea for alternative routes and take your time to get down to the lake. Grass carp are super. Bailiff is the most helpful person you could meet. Many thanks. NOTE FROM ANGLING LINES. Cooker has been inspected and is safe. One of the control knobs needs replacing and this is in hand.

What did you find were the best tactics/baits: Pva bags to the middle, double boilles,halibut pellets for the catfish.

General comments: There are loads of small tench even taking 2 boilles. Janet enjoyed float fishing and having lots of small carp. Slow starting but soon improved with a 28lb common for Dan, and a 32lb mirror for myself it was constant from then on. Dan had a run in the catfish lake and didn't expect to see his first ever grass carp come to the surface which weight in at 23lb on the nose.... what a surprise! Run after run in the catfish lake for my son his face was a picture he had the biggest cat at 43lb. I had to make do with a 38lb. We had a couple of runs but could not hold them they snapped our line.

Brief details of your catches: 68 fish comprising of 1x 48lb sturgeon, 1x small tench, 66 carp. These were made up of 27x 20lb plus, 5x 30lb plus and 1x 49lb 12oz mirror. Also, lots of small carp on float tackle in the catfish lake.

What did you find were the best tactics/baits: Glugged hookbaits and small pva bags of pellets worked best.

General comments: Fishing was excellent as was the holiday in general. One point to note is that, although the cooker was servicable it could be quite dangerous and could be replaced. In general, we would highly recommend the venue. Full marks to Angling Lines for venue and for all work (very informative girls in office) for arranging holiday. NOTE FROM ANGLING LINES - We are looking into the cooker issue immediately.

Brief details of your catches: Fairly quiet but a constant North wind blowing keeping temperatures down. Having said that I caught a mirror of 51lb 8oz which is the same fish as the 53 a few weeks earlier. Also had a 33 mirror, two upper twenties, 20 and 15lb commons. Catfish of 70lb at least (bottomed my scales out) and 45lb.

General comments: As well as the 51lb 80z mirror I also caught a large number of single figure carp that weren't in lake when we fished it last year. Owner says he will place a cage in lake to remove them and net them this winter. This needs doing. The caravan would benefit from a folder with local information with directions to restaurants, supermarkets, days for local markets etc. Whilst I was there I had to visit the doctors. Then owners father was extremely helpful, booking me in then taking me and then to chemists, can't thank them enough. Brilliant venue, will be booking two weeks next year.

General comments: Very clean and tidy venue. Facilities were good. Laurent the owner was always helpful, shops were close by for everything you needed, all in all a top well looked after and run venue.

General comments: The week started slow as the weather was cold and wet we Even had a Hail storm on the sunday, but it did pick up and the sun shone for the last few days, and we ended up with over 1000 lb of fish.

What did you find were the best tactics/baits: The middle of the lake and shellfish b5 catching a majority of the fish. No big beds of bait only a few freebies

General comments: top venue weather v cold at night warm during the day so fish had no set feeding times like before. We didnt fish nights either.The owner Laurant popped down nearly everyday asking if we needed anything a top fella!
