- Mire - bakers, butcher, small convenience store, tabac / café
- Morannes - couple of bakers, couple of butchers, mini-supermarket
- Precigne - couple of bakers etc., good local market on Saturday mornings
- St Denis D'Anjou - baker, mini-supermarket
Note: the bakers in Mire opens everyday except Monday from 7am, on a Monday you can get bread etc. from the bakers in Morannes (we found the best tarts and cakes came from Morannes!)

Supermarkets
- Big 'LeClerc' hypermarket in Sable sur Sarthe (follow the signs for Le Mans to Les Tuilleries out of town shopping complex where there are a number of large stores and a McDonalds!)
- Also supermarkets in Chateau-Gontier / Chateuaneuf sur Sarthe

Sable Sur Sarthe - nice shops, cafes, restaurants.
- tourist office
- Famous as the home of Sable biscuits which can be bought everywhere, but the 'authentic' ones come from Maison du Sable. (opposite the tourist office)
- Swimming pool
- Golf at the Sable-Solesmes course has 3 x 9 hole courses, restaurant and international archery centre
- Boat river cruises

Chateau Gontier - historic town with nice shops, etc..
- Roland Reaute Chocolate Factory
- Animal Refuge with up to 800 large and small rescued animals
- Famous cattle market every Thursday morning

Les Mesangeres forest centre - Walks, mountain bike hire, horses, café etc.
