What did you find were the best tactics/baits: Best tactics was using a bait boat fishing to fsr bank little and often. Baits used smokey mackerel boilies and tiger nuts.

General comments: So far this year i've managed to break my pb 5 times four of which was in France. Very helpfull with evrything, found the location easy. I didn't recieve anything for the best fish in the lake!

What did you find were the best tactics/baits: Must have a bait boat, use Ribiere recommended bait. All fish fell to Quest Special Crab boilies.

Were the facilities what you expected? Worse

Were you happy with them? Ok. As regards fishing, great with the owner's help. They could not do enough for you.

General comments: A little disappointed with the accommodation , especially when 5 of us were sleeping. The brochure was very misleading about the size of the accommodation. Everything else was adequate.

What did you find were the best tactics/baits: Tiger nuts and baited particle, boats are a must. I found out the hard way, boats are for rent but I didn't know until last day.

General comments: Althought I only caught two fish I loved the holiday. I was with my family and promised I wouldn't fish all time. Only on water 4-7 hours a day and never at night. Rest of time was spent by pool and local area. I'm thinking about going back on my own to put in a full two weeks.

What did you find were the best tactics/baits: Fishing tight against far bank, use tiger nuts, Quest Special Crab, Nash Scopex, over pellets & hemp.

Brief details of your catches: 6 carp - 20.02, 22.12, 20.02, 25.10, 13.04, 25.08lbs

What did you find were the best tactics/baits: 2 on maggots, 2 on Quest Special Crab Boilies, and 2 on Bloodworm Dumbells. The general feeling was that things might have gone better had the weather not been so damn cold (bitter NE wind and frosts/freezing at night). Seems like a good excuse anyway!

Were the facilities what you expected? Facilities were excellent

Were you happy with them? Yes!

Would you recommend the venue to a friend? No! Whilst everything is very professionally organized, was a little put out to arrive at the lake and be given the choice of swim 1 or 2. The lake is just about fully booked all year round, good for the Owner but not for the fish. The option to move would have been nice. Still not sure how the swim choice works, but seems to favour the 'regulars'.

Would you recommend our services to a friend? No - that got you're attention. Booking forms for me are a waste of time and paper, but apart from that you are the best and I really would have to 'hate' someone not to recommend your services!

General comments: A very professional and well organized set-up. A lot of effort (and money) has gone into making the lake and the facilities what they are. I can understand the set-up where I was given the choice of two pegs and the markers I was supposed to fish between were pointed out to me, maybe necessary with the clientelle and the congestion on the lake, but not for me. It was great to have someone to chat to in the long periods between takes. The lake might hold a large number of large carp, but prefer a little bit more space for my fishing.

Brief details of your catches: In Brief all 8 caught pb's i had 3 mid 20's one 33lb, 43lb and 48lb mirrors as well as catching all 5 sturgeon. There was one 50 caught at 51lb, 4 other 40lb fish and several upper thirtys and a few grass carp upto 31lb

What did you find were the best tactics/baits: Without doubt the best tatic was boated out beds of particles fishing either tiger nuts or boiles on the hook

Would you recommend the venue to a friend? Yes - but to be truthful we would rather keep this place to ourselves

General comments: To say we probably picked the worst week weather wise, as we had 4 solid days of snow and rain even when it was dry we had driving freezing wind - not great fishing conditions but all of us came away more then happy with the fish and the venue.
