General comments: Very disappointing for me personally. Some good fish caught but not a runs water this particular week. Easy access from Calais. Good venue. Food good Will return...... With "DYNAMITE"

Brief details of your catches: i had 10 x 20's & 2 x 30's including my new pb common 22lb 4 oz and a 26lb sturgeonmy bro had 5 fish big sturgeon andsome 20lb carpskin had 15 carp ranging from 15 lbs to high 20's

What did you find were the best tactics/baits: for me bait boat for first couple of days only using halibut pellet and hindus blitzs boiles ,then single 15 ml boilie hookbait with small pva bags to baited ares 2 fish a day on average

General comments: the weather was evil and we mostly pulled rods in at night because of this could have doubled our bag i reckon food on site is good and the chef is lovely

Brief details of your catches: Myself: 4 carp to 4lb & 1 sturgeon to 20lb. My mate had 1 carp to 6lb & 1 bream to 2lb.

What did you find were the best tactics/baits: Put in over £200 of bait to no avail, couldn't get them to feed. Too cold & frosts in the mornings.

General comments: A bit more advice from the owners. Only 5 people fishing the lake & after 4 days we were told we were on the worst part of the lake.

What did you find were the best tactics/baits: Tried lots of baits which we bought before our trip, not catching. Tried to Quest and had good results

General comments: Lovely venue, weather was bad some days but not a problem, when your fishing your fishing!

Brief details of your catches: For the full week i managed Several Carp to 8lbs, plus Three Sturgeon 26lbs, 30lbs & 36lbs, my mate Gary managed several smaller Carp plus two Tench around 2lbs, all fish bar one Tench where caught in the day light hours. The only time it did not rain was when it was snowing, the wind was very strong all week and the tempriture was very low, i think we did well for the conditions.

What did you find were the best tactics/baits: The best bait i found for the whole of the week was ''Red hot'' Pepparami on the hair with small P.V.A. bags of mixed pellets, all Three Sturgeon were caught close to the over hanging tree on the far left of the large lake as you approach it. The 36lbs Sturgeon i caught snapped me off the day before, i know this because i retrieve'd my hook back along with Three other hooks and a Feeder the next day.

Were the facilities what you expected? Yes, as we read the testimonials.

Were you happy with them? Only because the lakes were empty.

Would you recommend the venue to a friend? Fishing yes, venue no.

General comments: Roseau lakes would benefit from a cash injection to the venue, their is only one toilet and one shower combined, this is for all male and female persons to share, and the hot water was hit and miss, the food was hot and plentyful though which was welcoming as it was very cold all week. ***** NOTE FROM ANGLING LINES **** New additional shower & toilet block will be completed in the next few weeks
