Brief details of your catches: 5 carp from 14lb to 35lb (2 x 30's, 2 x 20's) We fished only daylight hours and the weather was terrible for most of the time with 4 inches of rain in 24 hours, hailstorms and rapid drops in temperature.

What did you find were the best tactics/baits: We fished Quest Rahja Spice and Special Crab boilies over the same in pellets, fishing to the island for the four biggest fish.

Were the facilities what you expected? Better than expected.

General comments: Absolutely picturesque place with friendly owners. The lake is a dream and the fish not difficult to catch when the conditions are right. We thoroughly enjoyed our stay and hope for a return visit in the not too distant future. If you only half fancy a week at Sauvelliere, don't hesitate; you've got to be almost impossible to please if you end up not happy with it.
