| Lake Rules
- Arrival time is between 10am and 12noon.
- There are 13 double swims on this venue, so the number of anglers on the lake can vary up to 26 – it depends on how many swims have been booked and if they’ve been booked for one angler, or as doubles for 2 anglers.
- Four rods per angler - or three if two anglers share a swim. Do not leave rods unattended. Fishing is only allowed from your own swim - the swims are shown on the lake map and fishing is strictly only in the designated swim area.
- Boats and Baitboats are allowed for baiting purposes ONLY ... HOOKBAITS MUST BE CAST FROM THE BANK. If you see other people breaking this rule please report it to the owners as this practice can spoil everyone’s fishing! If you use a boat you MUST use a life jacket. Anyone found not doing so will be asked to leave the venue immediately.
- No braided main lines. Please use only barbless or crushed barbed hooks. No bent hooks. Unhooking mats are obligatory, as is disinfectant (available at reception).
- No carp sacks allowed - fish must be released as quickly as possible. Legal proceedings will be taken against anyone attempting to steal fish.
- Only properly prepared & cooked particles are allowed. No Tiger Nuts.
- Cars may be parked behind the swims, but please no excessive driving around the venue i.e. to go to the shower block. Bicycles are available for this purpose if you’d like one. Visitors must park in the car park area. Please be quiet and respectful during your stay and place all your litter in bin bags.
- Swimming is not permitted. Cutting of bank side vegetation is not permitted.
- Barbecues are allowed, but ashes must be placed in a bin once cooled. Do not throw the ashes on the floor and please do not light fires on the ground.
- The owners decline any responsibility in case of accident, theft or natural diseases contracted at the venue.
- Please respect the rules as anyone found breaking them will be asked to leave immediately without refund. The owner’s decision is final.
- Please note that St. Christophe is a true specimen water and the fish stocks are fantastic... but it’s not a water for the unprepared. The fishing is not easy, the swims are challenging and the owners uncompromising. We do not recommend it for your first trip to France. If you have any doubts please speak to someone in the Angling Lines office.
