No. of persons fishing: 2 Brief details of your catches: 14 carp ranging from low doubles to 34lb 10oz. What did you find were the best tactics/baits: Due to the poor conditions, only small patches of baits were required or single hook baits over no bait. The fish would only take 10mil to 15mil shelf life Rahja Spice boilies and nothing bigger.

General comments: We arrived at the lake in a blanket of fog on the Saturday morning and departed the following Saturday also in thick fog. The fog cleared most lunch times but dropped again shortly after dark. With high pressure and temperatures varying from 22 and 7 degrees there was no call for heavy baiting.
We both set up on the gentle sloping gradient that leads down to the waters edge in front of the lodge.
I caught all my fish over a small bed of hemp, and a scattering of 10mil shelf life Rahja Spice boilies, all off 1 rod in 3 metres of water at the bottom of the far margin shelf. The carp would only take a 10mil shelf life Rahja Spice boilie topped with a 12 mil pink pop up.
Pat had his fish with no loose fed bait, just a single 15mil Rahja Spice topped with a 12 mil pink pop up, again just on the base of the drop off to the right hand margins.
Pat had a 34lb 10 oz common, a 33lb mirror which came to his rods twice in twelve hours along with 3 other upper doubles.
I had a 31lb 8oz common, mirror carp of 28lb 12oz, 27lb 8oz, 21lb and 5 other carp ranging from 12lb to 19lb.
I am sure that this lake can produce some excellent catches when the weather is right.
This lake is described as only being 2 acres, I would say that it is closer to 3 acres, although I am sure that when the lily pads are in full growth the fishable water area could be reduced to around 2 acres.
