Brief details of your catches: 840+lbs... 11 x 30lbs+ ..... loads 20lbs+ (12 x 20lbs) Kellen pb. 34lbs4oz . He had 5 x 30+ (11 in nov). Robin pb34lbs, 2 x 30+,many other fish. Richard pb39lbs12oz. All the fish were mirrors apart from 34lbs8oz grassy, 1 x 20+common. Fantastic five days!!!

What did you find were the best tactics/baits: Smokey mackerell boilies, Maize prepard by Dave (Scopex squid liver frozen took with us). Short rigs using cortex, pro clear,took large fish. Others braided rigs simpler the better.

General comments: This was the best french trip out of 4 I have been on. The meals are very very good. Dave & Sue.... any thing you want just ask......shopping,vet for your dog,cd of catch,dinner by lake..... great people!!! The lakes are an eye full,Brill Holl.

General comments: Great lakes, Cat Lake was a brilliant runs water, caught lots of fish. Carp Lake was very hard but well worth the effort. General comments: The cabin is 4**** although the lakes are so nice its great to bivvy. Planning to revisit in Autumn with group of freinds. Dave & Sue were extremely helpful yet unobtrusive. The food was better than I expected and only a fool would decline the 110 euros package. This is just a beautiful and peaceful location. The wildlife is a bonus on the back off great fishing.

What did you find were the best tactics/baits: Dave always points us in the right direction. Tight to overhanging trees, margins and islands. Big beds of halibut pellets for the Cats and Smokey Macs for the Carp.

General comments: We have been coming here since 2004 and we love it. We have seen great improvements each year and it was good to see the nearly completed cabin, it looks great, Sue & Dave have worked really hard and it shows. We normally enjoy fantastic weather when we come but this trip it wasn't to be, storms, wind and chilly nights. Despite this we caught a few and we only fish to midnight. As always the food was A1 standard and great value for money. This is a stunning venue, quite, very pretty and contains lovely fish. We will be back!!!!

General comments: We really did enjoy our holiday, but it would have been helpful to have had an itinerary of the things that are included and the things that arn't. The setting was beautiful and the weather was great. **** NOTE FROM ANGLING LINES ***** - The caravan is only a slleping arrangement and not charged for. There is a new lakeside cabin available from August. However, we readily take careful note of feedback and we will implement a facilities list for accommodations on all venues for 2008! Thank you for suggesting this, we hope it further improves our quality of service.

Brief details of your catches: Weather was totally against us. We also didn't get to fish alot because we had to leave early due to emergency hospitalisation of one of the party! (nothing to do with the lake :-) In the circumstances I thought we caught really well :-1 35lb catfish 4 x 30lb+ mirror carp. 4 twenties and numerous doubles. Around about 500lb total weight in all.

General comments: Good food, fishing good, hosts good, Great week. Bad service from Angling lines was told a price then they tried charging more half way through the week. We were told that if we didn’t pay the extra before we left, our pre paid ferry would be cancelled. Not impressed! REPLY FROM BRIDGET AT ANGLING LINES: Mr Sankey rang whilst I was at home on Fri evening at 7pm to ask if he could add another person to his booking. He was travelling on the ferry at 04.30 hours, less 9 hours later. Being at home and not having all my cost tables with me, I was unsure if there would be extra cost. I said I did not think there would be, but couldn't tell until I got into the office on Monday. I agreed that if there was he could pay by credit card during the week whilst he was at Windmill. Mr Sankey said yes, whatever, no problem - he was just anxious to be able to tell his colleague the good news that they would be able to come. I rang the ferry company there and then, sorted the ferry booking out and rang him back to confirm that all was OK. Again I said I didn't think there would be a charge... but if there was I would let him know & he could pay by card. When I got to the office on Monday I found out that there was an extra charge of £50 due to the lake for the extra person (we charged nothing for all the last minute ringing round). I rang and left him a message on his mobile but heard nothing back. I later asked the lake owner to ask him to ring me to pay. No response. Finally I got the owner to put him on the phone as he was preparing to leave. He then proceeded to tell me I said there would be no charge! I know exactly what I said. I was charging only the actual increase, and felt disgusted at someone questioning our integrity, with a view to get out of paying the £50 due. Mr Sankey finally did pay at the lake before departure but only after I threatened to cancel his ferry to recover the money due. From the feedback reports it seems they had an excellent weeks fishing. What a shame it was spoilt by this incident. FACT:- I did say ‘I didn't think there would be a charge’. I did not say ‘there would not be a charge’. FACT:- There was an additional charge made by the lake and we asked him to pay it.

What did you find were the best tactics/baits: Fishing to the islands and margins, we found the fish very spooky probably due to cold north easterly wind. Dave's Smokey Mackerel worked best but we also had a lot of success on lob worms.

General comments: Managed to get lost on way down but Dave & Sue put us right. Will take a map next time! Had a brilliant week, beautiful and tranquil venue, fish in excellent condition and food superb, eat things we didn't even know we liked!! Thank you very much - see you next year. Del & Tony
