I just wanted to write and thank you for our fishing holiday at Woods Lakes in France . My friend, Richard, and I had a wonderful time (even though we didn’t catch any fish!!).

The venue was wonderful and everyone was so helpful there.

Brief details of your catches: 7x mirror carp from 12-29lb, 7 common carp from 17-24lb - young angler 12 yrs.  1x mirror carp at 23lb last night.

What did you find were the best tactics/baits:  Pop-up Trigga ice & Trigga.

Were the facilities what you expected?  Better

Were you happy with them?  Portable loo at the pond would be very helpful and most welcome especially for the evening & morning.

Brief details of your catches: Very hard fishing on the Great Lake but the weather wasn't ideal.  Caught 2x sturgeon up to 44lb+ & 1x 7lb tench - 4 days fishing.  3 days on Woods Lake caught approx 15 fish up to 20lb, missed a catfish.

What did you find were the best tactics/baits:  PVA bags and bright small baits, fish don't seem to like the boat on Woods Lake.  Great Lake fish to the raised areas.

General comments:  Very friendly people running the complex.  Excellent, clean toilets & showers.  Supermarket only 10 minutes away.
